A depiction of the current state of Lake Pepin and the hope for its future utopic state.
Exhibiting the work of Deborah Foutch, Linda Snouffer and Maris Gilbert, this exhibit is in collaboration with Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance.
Join us on September 28th for an interactive reception with the artists and Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance! We will create a river diorama that shows how sediment travels in water and what slows it. It also shows pigments suspended in water and how binder moves in much the same way.
Deborah Foutch will invite attendees to pour from the shores and in the stream bed. Colors will mix and flow as the box will be at a slant. Attendees will also be given slips of absorbent paper to make a water print on by dipping in the pooled paint. The box will be left to dry and remain at the gallery as part of the exhibit.
Linda Snouffer will demonstrate inking and printing with plants on small cards the attendee can take.
